Prof. Gwendolyn Kulick, the Assistant Professor in Beaconhouse National University (BNU), School of Visual Arts and Design, has a long association with the Project. In addition to being in Pakistan House Potsdam, Germany in 2003, she has visited TGD with BNU students many times. She is doing her PhD in ‘Design Work in NGOs and Income Generation.’ Her research work brings her to TGD.

On Mar 17, 2011, Gwendolyn Kulick was in the Dolls Village with her research supervisor (academic mother) Prof. Dr. Brigitte Wolf (Theory of Design, Department for Design and Art, University of Wuppertal, Germany) who is in Pakistan on the invitation of Annemarie-Schimmel-House (ASchH) in Lahore.

Both the special guests spent fill day visiting different workshops of doll making, pottery and toy making in the Women Art Centre and Technology- Transfer- and Training Centre as well as saw the work in Basic Health Unit. Guests also took keen interests in repair work for Mud House Owners Project (owners repair their mud house after summer and winter monsoon ahead of the annual quality of life competition – an effort to keep traditional farmhouses as a sample). These mud houses are also fouc of stuy for Institute for Experimental Construction at BNU and attractive for visitor and tourists.

Prof. Dr. Brigitte Wolf
Brigitte Wolf studied industrial design and psychology in Brunswick and graduated from the Polytechnic in Kassel, "with the work of" Design for everyday use in psychology.

After graduating she worked in the development department of Rowenta-Werke in Offenbach. Then it was design as a project manager responsible for HZW in Kassel for the development and design of control and information systems for public facilities.

In cooperation with UNIDO she advised from 1984 - 1986 the Oficina Nacional de Diseño Industrial (ONDI) in Havana, Cuba in developing a design infrastructure. From 1987 to 1991 she was Deputy Technical Director of the Design Council in Frankfurt and organized national and international exhibitions and events. 1992 - 2007 she was Professor of Design Management at the Cologne International School of Design. In 2007 she was appointed to the University of Wuppertal, and there comes the successor of Prof. Dr. Dr. hc Siegfried Maser in the teaching field theory of design, focus on methodology, planning and strategy.

She co-founded the group "Designed Environment '(1994 to 1999). In cooperation with the Goethe Institute, she designed the traveling exhibition "Designed Environment - Prospects for an environmental future," and organized the exhibition tour: Berlin (FRG), Barcelona (Spain), Dresden (FRG), Sao Paulo (Brazil), Brasilia (Brazil) Porto Alegre (Brazil), Bogota (Colombia), Mexico City (Mexico), Montreal (Canada), Thessaloniki (Greece), Sofia (Bulgaria), Sydney (Australia) and Lyon (France)

In 1999 she was given the title "Professor Invitado" at the Instituto Superior de Diseño Industrial (ISDI) in Havana, Cuba granted. Since 2002 she is an External Examiner in the Master of Design Management program at the University Inholland in Rotterdam, Holland.

Prof. Gwendolyn Kulick 

Gwendolyn Kulick was educated as a product designer at the University of Fine Arts in Berlin. She has worked in architecture, art & design bookshop Buecherbogen in Berlin, the design magazine Form and for the design agency Plex in Berlin. Since 2004, she has been teaching at the School of Visual Arts / Beaconhouse National University. Gwendolyn is also interested in ways of integrating design and development work. She has been researching and working with different craftspeople. She works as a consultant for the French NGO Sanjog. In Lahore, Gwndolyn has done freelance graphic design projects for various institutions and organizations such as the German Cultural Center / Annemarie-Schimmel-Haus, the Centre for Public Policy and Governance at Forman Christian College, Rohtas 2 Gallery in Lahore, Unicorn Gallery in Karachi and VASL.

welcome and best of luck Gwendolyn Kulick with ur research team in Thatta Kedona.When i see ur NGO.s work i am really happy and i wish our pakistani people also see this and admire with ur research work and also do this good things for Good Cause and Insahallah one day it will be happened ...My prayers always with u and my wish i also do this like u Gwendolyn Kulick and My Uncle Syed Asgher Shirazi ...GOD BLESS U ALL
