New Cooperation Agreements With Thatta Kedona Web-Radio

The Internet Radio in TGD (Thatta Ghulamka Dhiroka) district Okara has reached another milestone. Now you can see a news-window on the main website radiotv-thattavillage.com. This DW news-window offers current news from Germany and all around the world in English language.

This news content is updated 24 hours a day. Through this news window one can directly access the English and German Web Pages of DW (Deutsche Welle). DW is Germany’s public international broadcaster. It is based in Bonn and its service is available in 30 different languages of the world.

The village Web-Radio, available on radiotv-thattavillage.com, has also signed another agreement with the German Press Agency DPA (Deutsche Presse Agentur), which allows the website to use the news content of this news agency. Founded in 1949 and based in Hamburg, this news agency offers news content in German, English, Spanish and Arabic.

DPA produces over 800 daily reports from the entire world and covers topics ranging from politics and business to culture and sports.

Internet Radio, run by the local NGO AFA (Anjuman-e-Falah-e-Aama) in TGD is on live stream and offers 24 hours not only local folk music but also interviews on development issues, cultural heritage and environment protection. This live stream can also be accessed on mobile phones through the app “Radio TV Kedona”, which can be installed from here.

AeFeA (NGO) has been harboring to set up own Radio and Television at the village Thatta Ghulamka Dheroka for a long time. Preparation in this regards are coming up fine and Thatta Kedona is expected to start broadcasting soon. The Community Radio will be another first of its kind and will help create awareness among rural communities of the areas about all relevant fields.

Income generation for people in rural areas based on the traditional culture.

Thatta Kedona Radio Station

Thatta Kedona Radio Station project is coming of age. Two rooms have been constructed and new solar units have already been installed in them. Computer and MP3 recorders for the Radio Station.

In addition to infrastructure including building, electrification and hardware, special some software is also required for streaming for high speed traffic to run the Internet radio. When commissioned, this will be another ‘first’ in Pakistan.
